About Garnett Hill Trail - Middlefield Road
Peru State Forest offers multiple hiking destinations along the old Garnett Hill Road. Starting on Middlefield Road, hikers can traverse up the old road until they get to their first option, which is a trail to the summit of Garnet Hill, which offers views to the west and the hills of Lenox and Richmond. Continuing on the old road, you can access the site of a military plane crash in 1942. A memorial is at the site commemorating those who lost their lives. Parking is limited on Middlefield Road.
