Elizabeth's Woods is a large forest and outdoor recreation area managed by the Alford Land Trust. When arriving at the conservation area, visitors will find a small open lawn and a wide double-track walking trail leading into a beech-maple forest. The property features two miles of these trails, with plans to create a more extensive network in the future. Visitors can currently go walking, cross-country skiing, or snowshoeing on the property.
Plenty of local Western Massachusetts wildlife species are present throughout the property. In the summertime, amphibians and birds are easily seen and heard. Then, when snow falls in the Berkshires, animal tracks will be visible along the snow's surface. The property is also a habitat for rare and endangered plants and animals.
A small parking area is on the shoulder of northbound Egremont Road before Cross Road.
