About Beartown State Forest Campground

NOTE: The Beartown State Forest Campground is temporarily closed for renovation and upgrades.

Nestled on the shore of Benedict Pond, Beartown State Forest Campground offers 12 wooded sites, with a few of them located right on the pond's shore. Visitors can relax before a fire or walk around the pond on the 1.8-mile Benedict Pond Loop Trail, a must for any visitor. Alternatively, visitors can go to the boat launch and launch their kayak for a paddle around the 35-acre pond. If swimming is your thing, try the beach and marked swimming area, complete with restrooms and only a few minute walk from the campsites.
