StoryWalk® at Margaret Lindley Park: Fungi Grow

Follow this poetic and beautifully illustrated book to learn all about the mysterious lives of fungi. Discover where mushrooms live, what they look like, what they do in the ecosystem and how they help (or hurt) humans. The walk is approximately 0.3 miles out-and-back. The reading level for this book is Grades 1 – 3, but the illustrations will keep younger folks entertained and there are plenty of fungi facts and identification tips for adults to learn too! The walk begins at the far end of the swimming area (opposite side from the parking lot) at Margaret Lindley Park (1201 Cold Spring Rd., Williamstown). Fungi Grow by Maria Gianferrari will be available throughout the month of August from dawn to dusk.
